Essentials
We all come from different backgrounds. We all have a slightly different view of the world around us, but theses truths should unite us. These beliefs are what make us uniquely Christian, and they are essential.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is God's written revelation to man and is sufficient for life and godliness. All scripture is God-breathed in every word and is therefore perfect, pure, true, complete and our final authority. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:3-4; Psalm 19:7-9)
God
We believe there is only one living and true God, Creator and sustainer of all things, perfect in all His attributes, existing in one nature and three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each co-equal and co-eternal. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; John 14:26)
Man
We believe man was created by God in His image and likeness to live in perfect fellowship with his creator. By Adam's sin, this fellowship was broken bringing the penalty of physical death and spiritual separation from God to all mankind. Therefore, all men are sinners. (Genesis 1:26-27; 3:23-24; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22)
Salvation
We believe man's salvation is accomplished solely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ's redemptive work on the cross. At the cross, God exchanges the believer's sin and condemnation for Christ's righteousness. Having confessed and repented of sin, believers are to be baptized, representing our union in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-10; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 10:9-10; 6:4-5)
The Church
We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church - His Body. The Church is called to bring glory to her Savior by fulfilling the Great Command to love God and one another, and the Great Commission to make disciples and proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth. (Colossians 1:18; Matthew 22:36-40; Matthew 28:18-20)
